Join FGWA members and other professionals in the industry on January 31st in Tallahassee, FL to advocate for the rights of groundwater professionals across the state of Florida! DEP Deputy Secretary for Regulatory Programs John Truitt and Legislative Director Kevin Cleary will give an overview of the Department’s key legislation and budget priorities including funding for the Petroleum Tank, Dry Cleaning and Hazardous Waste site cleanup programs. In addition, State Rep. Matt Caldwell, Chairman of the Government Accountability Committee, and a key member of the House Leadership Team will give an overview of key legislation, including Workers Compensation, moving through the process and how it effects our industry. We will close the last hour of the meeting with an update on the latest news and business for the association and a presentation by Phil Leary, FGWA Lobbyist, who will provide an overview of the 2018 Legislative session and other pressing legislative priorities for FGWA and what can be expected in 2018.
We need you to make the trip to Tallahassee to make a difference in our industry. It is all about strength in numbers. The more FGWA members participate in this effort, the stronger the voice FGWA will have.
